Rectangular wooden box Dés à coudre model. This box is in the style of those found in days gone by in the sales catalogues of Le Bon Marché and La Samaritaine. At the time, housewives and dressmakers bought their supplies in large quantities which were sold in these boxes. This box is made from alder wood. The exterior is completely varnished, the interior has been left natural. The lid of this rectangular wooden boxis silkscreen printed: Dés à coudre de qualité-Sajou-Paris (quality thimbles). This vintage technique of printing sometimes has a few flaws, which only adds to the charm of this re-edition. The inside of the lid is decorated with a vintage style label.
