Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette in cross stitch
Here, Louis XVI (1754-1793) and his wife Marie-Antoinette (1755-1793). These amusing silhouettes are a cross stitch interpretation of those found near the ticket office in the Palace. The letters are inspired by the Apollo typography, the same used in the visual identity of the Palace.
This chart is taken from our spectacular pattern dedicated to Palace of Versailles in the Museums and Heritage collection. The embroidery depicting the Versailles Palace is the sixth in this collection. This full-colour pattern chart is printed on a large A3 sheet with all necessary explanations. It is presented folded in a Sajou folder.
Size of motif: 200 stitches wide by 100 stitches high. When embroidered on 12 count (per cm) linen, the finished project measures 33.3 x 16.7cm.
We recommend using our off-white coloured linen and our Retors du Nord embroidery floss n°2005 (black). You will need two cards.
This design is also available as a complete kit. You will find everything to make a cushion backed with a Sajou fabric.
