Cross stitch pattern - Marie Antoinette’s pineapple fabric cushion - Museums and Heritage Collection
Here is a pattern chart to make a large cushion with the main motif and borders inspired by Marie Antoinette’s pineapple fabric at the Palace of Versailles. This chart is from our spectacular pattern dedicated to indienne floral fabrics in the Museums and Heritage Collection. This full-colour pattern chart is printed with all necessary explanations on two 60 x 28cm sheets, presented folded in a Sajou folder.
Size of motif: 348 stitches wide by 259 stitches high.
When embroidered on 12 count (per cm) linen, the finished project measures 58 x 44.2cm.
We recommend using our off-white coloured linen and our Retors du Nord embroidery thread. You will need the following colours: 2007, 2013, 2025 x 2, 2028, 2033, 2223 x 2, 2234 x 2, 2302, 2540, 2749, 2876; 14 cards.
This design is also available as a complete kit. You will find everything to make a cushion backed with a cotton fabric.
In our Madame Sajou's diary section, you can discover the secrets behind the creation and development of these works, which are part of our Museums and Heritage Collection. You will also find cultural and historical information about indienne floral motifs.
