Cross stitch kit - Flower Dyer's Woodruff box

Asperula tinctoria from the Latin asper, meaning rough, is the name for dyer’s woodruff, a plant often considered as a bit of nuisance, as the flowers cling on to clothes and animal fur. It is found on mountainsides all over Europe. It has a delicate white flower and red roots, which are used for d­yeing purposes.
This chart is taken from our spectacular pattern dedicated to Tinctorial Plants in the Museums and Heritage collection. It is embroidered in cross-stitch over two threads of fabric using two strands of Retors du Nord. Easy and amusing, it is perfect for novices.

This kit contains:

• a piece of 32 count embroidery linen, colour cyclamen ;
• a card of Retors du Nord embroidery floss with the five colours necessary;
• a cardboard disc and a piece of wadding;
• a round tin and a decorative sticker;
• a pattern chart with all explanations for mounting.

Size of the box: height 4cm - diameter 7.3cm.
