Cross-stitch chart - Garden Poppy - Museums and Heritage Collection
This garden poppy is a cross stitch pattern chart derived from our spectacular Tinctorial Plants project in the Museums and Heritage Collection. The petals from this flower, the Papaver Orientale, gives colours ranging from pink to violet. You can discover the history of this plant whose seeds have been found in Neolithic dwellings dating back over 5000 years.
Size of motif: 76 points wide by 200 points high. When embroidered on 12 count/centimeter linen fabric the finished dimensions are 12.7 x 33.3cm.
The full colour pattern chart is printed on a large 42cm x 29cm sheet of paper with all the necessary explanations. It is presented in a Sajou pouch.
We recommend our cyclamen 32 count embroidery linen which highlights the motif. You will also need Retors du Nord embroidery floss in the following colours: 2005, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2022, 2038, 2317, 2405, 2445, 2532, and 2540. A total of 11 cards in 11 colours.
