Fil Au Chinois cable linen thread - sample card for 5 threads
This card contains a sample of each of the five thicknesses of our cable linen threads.
Card features:
- Each sample measures approximately 20 cm.
- Card size: 15 x 21 cm.
Cable linen (corded linen) is twisted linen which is assembled a second time, moistened, and re-twisted. This moistening prevents the linen fibres from distorting, increases the resistance, and gives a nicely rounded thread. It is mainly used in luxury leather goods but is also popular for high-quality jewellery making and various DIY projects.
Cable linen is available in five thicknesses and 60 colours:
- Cable linen n°332 – the thickest – approx. 133 m/spool – Ø 0.77 mm
- Cable linen n°432 – approx. 200 m/spool – Ø 0.63 mm
- Cable linen n°532 – approx. 250 m/spool – Ø 0.57 mm
- Cable linen n°632 – approx. 285 m/spool – Ø 0.51 mm
- Cable linen n°832 – the thinnest – approx. 375 m/spool – Ø 0.43 mm
