Fil Au Chinois waxed cable linen - 60 colours printed chart
Cable linen (corded linen) is twisted linen which is assembled a second time, moistened, and re-twisted. This moistening prevents the linen fibres from distorting. Cabling increases the resistance, giving a nicely rounded thread generally used in luxury leather goods. It's a high-quality thread that can also be used for fine jewellery making and various DIY projects.
