Cross stitch chart history of Maison Sajou haberdashery from 1845 to 1848 - Museums and Heritage Collection
This small cross stitch project (second pattern chart) evokes the period from 1845 to 1848 when Maison Sajou was situated 17 rue Barillerie on the Ile de la Cité in Paris. The representation of the Sajou logo here can be found on the mauve albums. These albums, as with the other series, were often re-edited featuring the famous Sajou embroiderer. The other small motifs evoke those found in the vintage albums.
This cross stitch pattern is part of a series of six which traces the history of Sajou from 1842 through the relaunch in 2005. Part of the Museums and Heritage collection, it's derived from the large poster chart dedicated to the history of Maison Sajou. This second pattern chart is sewn with 2876, a Sajou blue and 2350 which recalls the mauve albums.
Size of motif: 90 x 90 points. It's printed in colours on a A3 format and presented in a Sajou folder.
