Pair of professional tailor scissors - pointed blades 25 cm
Paris scissors are tailor's scisors with two pointed blades. When the blades are bevelled, they are known as "camard". These scissors have a flange which serves to brake the handles. The screw which holds the two blades together is extremely long, enabling you to pick up the scissors with one hand.
Length: 25cm - Weight: 450g. Large Sajou marking on the pivot point, or wing, the flat part with the screw. Sajou linen ribbon on handle. These scissors are presented in a strong canvas pouch for protection. A Sajou label is sewn on the front and the pouch is closed by a drawstring.
An important detail enables us to judge the quality of a pair of scissors; the pairing marks - the punch mark which you can see on the interior of each of the blades. This marl is different on each pair of scissors and indicates that both parts have been paired together from the first assemblage to make a perfect match. After the first fitting, the scissors are taken apart and each shear undergoes the different processing operations before being reassembled and finished. The pairing marks are placed on the scissors hinge so cannot be seen when they are closed. These scissors of an exceptional quality are veritable professional tools used in sewing shops and the textile trade. Essential if you cut a lot of fabric.
