This cross stitch kit contains all you need to embroider a stem of hollyhock, derived from our spectacular Tinctorial Plants project in the Museums and Heritage Collection.
This flower (Altea rosea) can grow up to three metres high. Legend has it that it was imported from the East during the Crusades of the Middle Ages.
Size of motif: 64 stitches wide and 200 stitches high. When embroidered on 12 count/cm linen, the finished dimensions are 10.7 x 33.3cm.
This kit contains: - a 12 count cyclamen linen swatch 43cm x 23cm; - 11 cards of Retors du Nord embroidery floss: 2013, 2023, 2024, 2026, 2034, 2038, 2350, 2445, 2532, 2535 and 2749; - the full colour pattern chart printed on a large 42cm x 29cm sheet of paper; - a Sajou “Créé par moi” label (Made by me).
