The last queen to reside in the Palace of Versailles, Marie-Antoinette left a fascinating legacy. This spectacular embroidery, designed by Frédérique Crestin-Billet, pays tribute to her through iconic elements of her world and the fashion trends she inspired.
A mythical figure known worldwide, Marie-Antoinette (1755–1793) continues to captivate imaginations. Her tragic destiny, refined tastes, and influence on the art of living at Versailles are beautifully illustrated in this work.
- Size of the cross-stitch motif: 56.7 x 56.7 cm (340 x 340 stitches).
This embroidery represents around 310 hours of work. - Size of the finished piece with fabric border: 76 x 76 cm.
- The embroidery is framed and lined with our Marie Antoinette at Trianon fabric and has light wadding.
- Three half-rings are sewn on the back, making it easy to hang.
- The back features a Sajou label along with the number 3, making it unique.
