Reedition of the “Gift to Love” Jouy fabric, designed by Jean-Baptiste Huet in 1799 and printed at the same time at the Oberkampf Manufactory in Jouy. Typical of the character prints of the time, there are idealised country scenes, a flute player surrounded by dancing children, a cherub on a pedestal receiving offerings, a mother presenting her child, a shepherd with his sheep. This fabric is ecru with grey print and the size of the motifs has been reduced by half compared to the original design. 100% percale cotton - 140g/m² - Width of fabric: 150cm. Repeat motif: vertical 35.5cm - horizontal 68cm. Attention: this fabric is available on maximum 10m rolls. Take this into account if you need a large amount. It can be coordinated with two other fabrics: a motif with stripes and characters coordinate 1, and a small grey and ecru ring motif on dark grey base coordinate 2. Also available in 50x70cm swatches. We recommend the following threads with this fabric: polyester n°309 or 352 or, if you prefer cotton, n°6155 or 6270. We take great care with our photos and descriptions of fabrics. However, appreciation of colours remains subjective and the quality can vary from one screen to another.
