Pure cotton Toile de Jouy fabric - bordeaux Travaux de la Manufacture by the meter
Re-edition in bordeaux on cream base of the famous Travaux de la Manufacture motif, one of the most well-known Jouy prints. Designed by Jean-Baptiste Huet, this motif shows the many different episodes of fabric printing in the Oberkampf Manufactory in Jouy. This is the fabric that inspired Frédérique Crestin-Billet to create the large
Jouy project in our Museums and Heritage Collection. You will recognise the wood block printing, the colour fixing, or “garançage”, the painting ladies etc… This fabric also has two coordinates: a floral geometric motif and a striped motif. The same motif is also available in black.
