The handles of this pair of embroidery scissors have a veined ivory effect and each one reproduces the Sajou "S". Note also the elegant festoon decoration around the finger rings. The entire piece is very lightweight, making it a pleasure to use.

These scissors are adorned with a passementerie pompom, with colours that may vary according to our stock availability. They are presented in a small box, with a design that may also vary. A label on the inside of the lid details the manufacturing process.
These scissors, including the passementerie pompom, are MADE IN FRANCE.
The production of such a pair of scissors requires no fewer than fifteen operations, most of which are carried out by hand.
An important detail for judging the quality of a pair of embroidery scissors lies in the pairing marks - the number engraved on the inside of each handle. In the photos presented here, you will see the number "83". This unique number on each pair indicates that the two parts have been adjusted from the very first assembly stage to form a perfectly matched pair. After this initial fitting, the scissors are disassembled for each blade to undergo necessary treatments before being reassembled and finished.
In the 19th century, producing such embroidery scissors required the craftsmanship of a cutler for the steel blades and an ornamental turner for the mother-of-pearl work. Today, the process is similar: the steel blades are crafted by a master cutler, while the handles are produced in our own workshops.
