Pair of chromed embroidery scissors Cart model - Private Collection

This outstanding pair of scissors was inspired by a one-off model - a collector’s item forged with love by a scissor maker for his intended. The young girl in question adored her father, who delivered wood on his cart pulled by a donkey. This lovely story leaves it up to us to decide if they lived happily ever after…

Size: 12 cm.

These scissors are adorned with a passementerie pompom, with tones that may vary according to our stock availability.
They are presented in a Sajou box, with a design that may also vary.

Scissors and pompom are MADE IN FRANCE.

An important detail in judging the quality of a pair of embroidery scissors is the pairing marks: the number engraved on the inside of each blade. On the photos here, it is "16". This number, unique to each pair, signifies that the two blades have been matched from the first assembly step to create a perfectly adjusted pair. After this initial adjustment, the scissors are disassembled so each blade can undergo the necessary treatments before being reassembled and finished.
