Pair of embroidery scissors Peacock - chromed

This pair of embroidery scissors represents two facing peacocks. Entirely hand-made, these chromed scissors are a re-edition of a 19th century model. The blades have a fine, sharp point.

Size: 10.2cm - Sajou ribbon on one of the handles.
Presented in a Sajou box, the inside of the lid has a label explains how they are made.

A very important detail to judge the quality of a pair of embroidery scissors is the pairing marks: this is a marking that can be found in between the blades. On this photo it is the number 2. The number varies on each pair of scissors and shows they have been paired together since the beginning of the process. Once the blades have been paired and adjusted, they are taken apart to perform all the many necessary operations and then re-mounted together and finished.
