Professional scissors flat nose tailor scissors - 28 cm

These large 28cm tailor's scissors are named ""camard"", an old French word meaning ""flat nose"", meaning the extremities of the blades are bevelled.

These two scissors have a flange which serves to brake the handles.
The screw which holds the two blades together is extremely long, enabling you to pick up the scissors with one hand.

An important detail enables us to judge the quality of a pair of scissors; the pairing marks - the number which you can see on the interior of each of the blades( you will notice the number ""8"" on the photos presented here). This number is different on each pair of scissors and indicates that both parts have been paired together from the first assemblage to make a perfect match. After the first fitting, the scissors are taken apart and each shear undergoes the different processing operations before being reassembled and finished.
The pairing marks are placed on the scissors hinge so cannot be seen when they are closed.
On this kind of large scissors, the pairing mark is also stamped on the screw.

These scissors are presented in a strong canvas pouch for protection. A Sajou label is sewn on the front and the pouch is closed by a drawstring.
