Unlike our other series, this Sajou album is not dedicated to cross stitch, but to bobbin lace. It is not a re-edition, it is a new creation by Maison Sajou and the Centre d'Enseignement de la Dentelle.
The number 451 is a reminder of the vintage album which, during the 19th century, Maison Sajou created for lace patterns.
This edition is the first of a partnership between Maison Sajou and the Centre de l'Enseignement de la Dentelle du Puy-en-Velay, a worldwide reference in the domain of lacemaking, this "Petite Méthode de dentelle à la main" (little method of lacemaking) contains 24 pages in which you will find:
the international codification colour chart;
the traditional bases: feet, basic stitches, picots, crossings and basic grounds, all fully illustrated;
ten models to make with, for each, the graph, the codification and the photo of the finished model.
a historical of bobbin lace, a summary of the necessary supplies and a reproduction of the colour range of Fil Au Chinois Calais cocoons.
