Fil Au Chinois Gloving waxed thread - Box 12 vintage tones
Gloving thread is a waxed cotton, n°120, both fine and solid. As the name states, it was used in the past for sewing and repairing gloves. Uses have changed, but the name remains the same. Nowadays, gloving thread is used for patchwork and appliqué hand stitching. Gloving Thread can also be used for very fine cross stitch. It is quite stiff, making it pleasant to use.
This assortment of vintage tones includes twelve spools: 594 (pink), 535 (garnet), 442 (mahogany), 217 (chestnut), 290 (café au lait), 190 (slate), 820 (pine green) , 334 (corn), 100 (white), 120 (grey), 752 (cornflower) and 650 (navy blue).
Material: 100% cotton.
Length on each spool: 150m.
Size of each spool: length 4.8cm - Ø 2.5cm.
Presented in a nice Fil Au Chinois box - Size of box : length 10cm - width 7.5cm - heigh 5.5cm.
Also available in three other colour assortments: dark tones (n°1), pastel tones (n°2), bright tones (n°4). Each assortment is identifiable by a numbered label.
