Tonkin is a gimped thread containing a fine lurex strand. It is made of textured polyester giving it a slightly puffy aspect. Unlike other threads containing metal, it doesn’t fray when embroidering, making it extremely pleasant to use.

A printed colour chart is available for the 24 colours of this thread. We also have discovery assortments and, for larger projects, 1000 metre cones.
