Cross stitch kit Dahlia

This cross stitch kit contains all you need to embroider these beautiful red dahlias derived from our spectacular Tinctorial Plants project in the Museums and Heritage Collection.
The latin name of this flower is credited to the Swedish botanist Andreas Dahl.
The plant is native to Mexico and arrived in Europe at the end of the 18th century.
The petals of the darker flowers create gorgeous violets, garnets and dark reds.
Size of motif: 77 stitches wide and 200 stitches high.
When embroidered on 12 count/cm linen, the finished dimensions are 12.8 x 33.3cm.
This kit contains:
- a 12 count cyclamen linen swatch 43cm x 23cm;
- 11 cards of Retors du Nord embroidery floss: 2012, 2013, 2016, 2028, 2032, 2034, 2332, 2409, 2443, 2567 and 2749;
- the full colour pattern chart printed on a large 42cm x 29cm sheet of paper;
- a Sajou “Créé par moi” label (Made by me).
Presented in a lovely Sajou cardboard re-usable box.
