This red dahlia is a cross stitch embroidery pattern chart derived from our spectacular project dedicated to Tinctorial Plants in the Museums and Heritage Collection.
The latin name of this flower is credited to the Swedish botanist Andreas Dahl.
The plant is native to Mexico and arrived in Europe at the end of the 18th century. The petals of the darker flowers create gorgeous violets, garnets and dark reds.
The full colour pattern chart is printed on a large 42cm x 29cm sheet of paper with all the necessary explanations.
It is presented in a Sajou pouch.
Size of motif: 77 points wide by 200 points high.

When embroidered on 12 count/centimetre linen fabric the finished dimensions are 12.8 x 33.3cm.
We recommend our cyclamen linen which highlights the motif.

You will also need Retors du Nord embroidery floss in the following colours: 2012, 2013, 2016, 2028, 2032, 2034, 2332, 2409, 2443, 2567 and 2749. A total of 11 cards in 11 colours.
This pattern chart is also available as a complete kit here.

Three other pattern charts are also available: the poppy, the hollyhock and the iris, all being the same height to make a lovely collection.
Special letter tariff for this product.
Attention: the letter tariff is only applicable for certain products.
