Flowers are an eternal subject of embroidery. With this spectacular cross stitch pattern chart, you are in for a treat! Created by Frederique Crestin-Billet, this chart representing tinctorial plants is the fourth in our Museums and Heritage Collection.
As you probably already know, the object of this collection is to discover subjects linked to the history of French textile. And the link between flowers and textile? Well, flowers were used to dye them! This pattern chart measures 68 x 80cm, making the motifs easy to follow. It is printed on matt paper, enabling you to mark any reference points you may need. Apart from botanical details about the plants, the back of this chart contains all the necessary explanations for the embroidery and ribbons. Size of motif: 345 x 345 points. You will need a large 70cm square of cyclamen-coloured linen.
And 35 cards of Retors du Nord embroidery floss in 32 colours: 2003, 2005, 2012 x 2, 2013 x 3, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2026, 2028, 2032, 2034, 2038, 2039, 2042, 2223, 2317, 2332, 2350, 2405, 2409, 2443, 2445, 2529, 2532, 2535, 2540, 2567, 2615, 2749 and 2876.
