This coat of arms and motto can be found on the entrance to the Chenonceau Château, whilst the initials can be found in many of the rooms inside. TBK are the initials of Thomas Bohier and his wife, Katherine Briçonnet. The motto of the château, “If I manage to build Chenonceau, I shall be remembered” shows the magnitude of the construction. Katherine Briçonnet played a key role in the architectural choices, whilst her husband was in Italy alongside François I.
