Pattern chart in cross stitch - Briçonnet coat of arms in Chenonceau castle - Museum and Heritage Collection
TBK are the initials of Thomas Bohier and his wife, Katherine Briçonnet. The motto of the château, If I manage to build Chenonceau, I shall be remembered shows the magnitude of the construction. Katherine Briçonnet played a key role in the architectural choices, whilst her husband was in Italy alongside François I. The coat of arms and motto can be found on the entrance to the Château, whilst the initials can be found in many of the rooms inside. This project is derived from the large Museums and Heritage pattern chart dedicated to the Chenonceau Château. This full-colour pattern chart is printed on a large A3 sheet with all necessary explanations and presented in a Sajou folder.
Size of motif: 182 stitches wide by 122 stitches high. With this pattern chart, you can make a cushion measuring 30.3 x 20.3cm when embroidered on 12 count (per cm) linen.
