This thread is made of 3 strands of twisted mercerised cotton (the equivalent of DMC n° 80). The presentation in small cocoons each weighing 5 grammes (approx. 110 metres) makes it simple to use: the thread is pulled from the centre, so it doesn't knot. Each cocoon is labelled.
This assortment in a charming box, contains a collection of vivid variegated tones: sugared almond (6930), bonbon (6931), cherry (6933), fire (6932), nasturtium (6937), harlequin (6923), sunflower (6929), brighton rock (6924), advocado (6935), cornflower (6934), café crème (6939) and liquorice (6925).
Our Calais cocoons are also available in boxes of twelve per colour or individually.

Embroider with Calais cocoons! Slightly finer than two strands of Retors du Nord, the Calais cocoons give great results, especially in the variegated and shaded tones. If you use these threads, it is important to use whole cross stitches to get the best results.
