The covid pandemic in 2020 prompted Frank and Theresa Meckel to create the Griesela manufactory, dedicated to making all sorts of bags, belts and a wide collection of leather goods. Their credo is quality and creativity. Apart from their originality and impeccable finish, their products are made to last.
Theresa takes care of the clients and running the company. Frank, a saddler and leather craftsman, makes the products and trains apprentices. The two together create the models and conceive the combinations of materials.
They discovered Maison Sajou through the magic of internet when they were looking for fabrics and threads: “We fell in love with the percale cottons and their vibrant motifs which blend perfectly with our personalized creations. We find them so gorgeous that we use them on the exterior of some of our models, and not just for the lining. As for the threads, we use practically exclusively the Fil Au Chinois cable linen and polycotton. Their appearance and stability are exceptional and for us, there is no other alternative to these extraordinary threads.
We buy our leathers directly from two German tanneries, which gives us a traceability of the quality we offer our clients”.
