You can embroider the six squares or only three.

You can also choose to insert a printed fabric with the linen squares.

You can also embroider two or four squares, placing a fabric in the centre
or on the outside of the cushion.

The motifs in our Red albums 902, 903, 906, 907, 908 and 912 have perfect motifs for these cushions.

MAKING THE CUSHION

Embroider the motif of your choice on each of the 14cm squares.
Whether you are using Retors du Nord, Tonkin or Laine Saint-Pierre thread, use two strands.

See all our embroidery thread : Retors du Nord, Laine Saint-Pierre, Fil Tonkin.

Cut each of your six squares to 12cm, respecting the straight grain.
If you choose a stripe of fabric instead of two linen squares, the measure is 12 x 24cm.

Assembling the first strip:

Sew the three squares for the top strip together at 1cm from the edge.

Assembling the lower strip:

Do the same for the lower strip.

Stitch the two strips together, again 1cm from the edge.

For the back of the cushion, cut a piece of fabric to 32 x 22cm.

Place right sides together on the embroidered squares. Stitch all around at 1cm from the edges, leaving an opening of about 10cm in the bottom of the cushion.

Pink the corners and turn right side out. Stuff the cushion and close the opening with a few invisible stitches.

Sew the “Créé par moi” label on the back.

You can find here all our indienne fat quarters for backing your cushion.
