This cross stitch pattern chart comes from the large pattern chart created by Frédérique Crestin-Billet evoking famous Bayeux Tapestry. It represents William's Feast, an episode which is not on the large pattern chart.
Size of motif: 264 points 67 points. If sewn on 12 count embroidery linen: 44cm x 11,5cm.
The scene presented here: after landing on English soil at Pevensey, William’s armies prepare a feast. Two servants have suspended a cauldron, and above, what appears to be skewers. Another servant is busy in front of an oven with flames billowing out. Two servants pass through a portal (probably a requisitioned manor). Four cavaliers use their shields as a table. Beside them, Bishop Odo gives grace to a table covered with dishes. In the centre, a servant brings a new dish with a small bow.
This full-colour pattern chart is printed on a large 60cm x 29cm sheet of paper. It is presented in a Sajou folder.
