THE FLORAL PARK AT APREMONT SUR ALLIER
The floral park at Apremont sur Allier is the botanical extension of the charming village of the same name, both overlooked by the chateau. Conceived during the 1970’s by Gilles de Brissac and open to the public in 1977, this floral park is a harmonious reunion of the French garden and the Anglo-Chinese garden. 1500 species of plants can be found: wisteria, roses, clematis, laburnum, as well as exotic and rare varieties: sequoias, sweetgum, Atlas cedar, Japanese cryptomerias, thujas etc… Small buildings, such as the emblematic pagoda bridge, add to the charm of this place.
