Diane de Poitiers' bedroom cushion at Chenonceau

This project is derived from the large Museums and Heritage pattern chart dedicated to the Chenonceau Château.
As with all inhabited homes, Chenonceau Château has a welcoming smell of wax, lovely vases of flowers and is filled with furniture.
And of course, there is an exceptional collection of works of art.
This is an interpretation of the fabric decorating the four-poster bed in Diane de Poitiers’ bedroom, where, as the King’s mistress, she often welcomed King Henri II.
Size of motif: 185 stitches wide by 130 stitches high.
When embroidered on 12 count (per cm) linen, the finished project measures 30.8 x 21.7cm.
Size of finished cushion: 31 x 22cm.
This kit contains:
- full-colour pattern chart printed on large A3 sheets of paper;
- 35 x 26cm of Sajou blue linen embroidery fabric;
- 3 Retors du Nord embroidery floss cards in colour 2876;
- 35 x 26cm 100% cotton "indienne" fabric in blue tones.
Depending on our stocks, this indienne fabric may vary, but trust us, the end result will always be lovely)
