These scissors are known as "Rouennais", because they were made in days gone by in the Rouen region of France, home to many scissor makers and cutlers.

They were also known as fabric sellers scissors, because they were typically used in fabric shops. 

They have rounded blades enabling fabric cutters to put them in their pockets without needing a protective case.
Ideal for use as workshop scissors for all types of work apart embroidery.

Size: 14cm.
Sajou ribbon fixed by an eyelet on one of the handles.
Nogent marked on the hinge.
Presentation: in a Sajou box.

These scissors are MADE IN FRANCE, in a workshop in the Haute-Marne, one of the traditional regions for the production of scissors in France.
