The Fil Au Chinois waxed polycotton is presented on cones. To be more precise, they are known as king spools, which are large spools, whereas cones, as indicated by the name, are truncated cones of cardboard. This is the 28/3, so a thickness of 28 twisted with 3 strands or ply. The diametre is 0.45mm and each cone contains about 2,300 metres of thread.
